Emperor Shao Hao, one of the Five brilliant Emperors of the Xia Dynasty in ancient China, ruled his kingdom with Gold (one of the Five Elements in Chinese philosophy). That’s why in 1987 when I opened a small metal stamping factory in Hong Kong, I named it “Kingdom”, and its Chinese name “金德” is to remind us of Emperor Shao Hao’s great leadership. I was determined to establish my kingdom in the industrial sector, to achieve this, only setting a goal is not enough; I know we need to excel in a number of areas to be better than the competition. Therefore, since the early days of its establishment Kingdom has strived to lift its management standards, increase competitiveness, perfect its quality assurance system and provide the best services for customers. All of these have become goals for us to strive for. As a leading company in precision stamping, manufacturing of precision moulds, CNC sheet metal processing and machining, Kingdom was accredited with the ISO9002 certification as early as 1995, and the ISO14001 certification for Environmental Management System in 1998 as we are committed to protecting the environment. We have continued to strengthen our management system and treated our customers as our partners in the process – some of them are internationals groups and excellent business enterprises that we see as our role models. During the course of cooperation, we learn world-class management practices from them, with which we improve our products and services. We see ourselves as strategic partners of our customers and work closely with them even at their early stage of product development. Together we look for the best production method and technology. This is the path Kingdom takes for its development – it learns and makes more progress, and finds its direction when making efforts for innovation.
All these years, Kingdom received numerous awards, regarding quality, management as well as its concern and contribution for environmental protection. These rewards greatly encourage us and constantly urge us on the road to become a leading company of this sector. We cannot afford to be arrogant and know we need to continue with what we are doing in order to succeed. As the CEO of Kingdom Group, I do not see myself as a “wise leader”, rather I am leading the wise. In future, I will stick to my principle and lead a wise and experienced management team to tirelessly work for Kingdom so as to build the kingdom I aspire to build at the beginning of my career.
